Bituminized paper

The bituminized paper is a durable waterproof paper obtained by impregnating the paper base with refractory molten bitumen. The surface of the paper is matte, dark brown or black. It has an increased strength, flexibility, extensibility, elasticity.

The bituminized paper is a moisture-wind insulating material, used for wind insulation of pitched roofs, walls and enclosing structures. The paper is ideal for the protection of insulation against condensable moisture and negative effects of wind exposure.

The bituminized paper protects the structure (thermal insulation and other materials) from atmospheric moisture, while at the same time it does not prevent water vapor from going out of  the structure (enabling  the wall to “breath”). These paper properties allow to preserve the thermal materials insulation parameters and exclude the development of microorganisms, because relative humidity of the insulated structure does not exceed 75%. The paper products of this type are compatible with various insulation materials used in building industry, they have vapor-permeable properties, which may vary depending on application conditions.

The paper is not a breeding ground for the development of microorganisms and thus eliminates the need to use harmful substances for the processing of wooden structural elements (rafters, poles and other organic materials).The bituminized paper also has biological resistance to fungi, flying insects and rodents.

The combination of strength properties and hydrophobicity enables to use the packaging paper in various industries:

  • in mechanical engineering as the cheapest packaging material for ferrous metal products;
  • for packaging of metal products, tools, electrical products, electrodes, devices and technical products, absorbent building materials;
  • as a waterproofing layer in frame-panel construction.
  • as an effective waterproofing membrane for prefabricated and monolithic foundations.

The advantage of the bituminized paper is its unique properties, low price and  simplicity of use, which with optimal costs allow to provide reliable protection of structures, equipment and finished products from moisture.

The main characteristics of the paper:

  • Roll width: 1050.1200 mm;
  • Roll weight: 25-30 kg;
  • Warranty period of storage — 6 months from the date of manufacture.

The main technical characteristics of bituminized papers:
